The Battle Is On

This painting is one of those that made alot of sense to paint based on a clear concept that started out as an old Japanese discofunk song I heard called “Girl In a Box” by a fellow Toshiki Kadomatsu.

Girrrhhhhh -inda boks….

on and on

I like the cover as well as the song… up to a point. I like how crisp and neat and clean it is. I love the sincerity of the Engrish. I’m always on the lookout for sincerity I’ve found. Ha-soh.

I did a concept drawing from the song title and accompanying visual aesthetic, and added my own spin which is basically a white millennial femnoid (or zoomer if you will, for the times they are a changin’) staring at her smartphone in a glass box like a braindead idiot. Accompanying her are her basic essential needs. Delivered food, a plant, a cushion, a bag for her crap, and a pleasuring device.

But how’s the view of the city and the water. What a view indeed.

I’ve added some Australiana because I like Australiana.

Dinkeydee dinky dinky dinkydee.

I’ve added a landline telephone like the ones Telstra used to give out to every household in the country.

I’ve added tributes to video-game orientalism found in our favourites Streets Of Rage and Suikoden.

I’ve added a suburban power pole because they are one of the great unsung heroes of modern life

I’ve made the cage-frame nice and ornate with indented jewels akin to the ornamental work of early-medieval European craftsman.

I was just interrupted by a pajeet at work as I wrote this and had to go out and get more air freshener to neutralise the lingering scent after he left. And all for a problem I couldn’t even possibly extract profit for. He just wasted my time without even trying. Thus is the nature of the pajeet.

Back to Chingchong.

This is not really actually about ching-chong, but the Nip. That is to say Japan, the more noble of asiatic nations. AKA Nipon. AKA the great yellow peril of the early 20th century, In a brief respite from Australia’s earlier and more recent yellow peril of Werd-Ruv-Chynah ChingChong ChingChong.

Arigato Mr Roboto.

HHHHHHHHAAAAAAAIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Karate Chop!

If they’re not on the mainland they are usually okay. Japan is more than okay. Japan is awesome. But now globohomo and the jeet seeks to spoil that too.

Alas.

Let’s return to the top of this painting. At this point It’s just about putting the final touches in and that’s about it. There’s very little I can do to course-correct from here.

Yes yes yes there’s individual exceptions in all groups. Even among chingchongs and pajeets.

To quote my mother: Doooonhhhhnnntttt be rashism. Doooonhhhhnnntttt be rashist.

Ching chong ching chong choppy choppy china chop.

I didn’t realise i captured a blurry image this morning. I’ll fix this one up overnight when i get home. Watch this space.
