So They’ve Knicked a Picasso
Thats my own cubism.

Look, he was okay. But I have to be in the mood. Picasso put out alot of stuff, to the extent where he defined an aesthetic of his own. Everything from doodles to larger works.
He was also a commie. I don’t know how I would’ve gotten along with him.
I don’t hate early 20thC modernist artists per se. But I’ve found they seem to be most interesting presented as a whole, so you are basically standing inside their psychological realm. I must admit it was pretty cool standing in a room full of Jackson Pollocks. It’s a bit similar with Picasso.
But Picasso has also been rammed down our throats for a long time now. Every single art class in school seemed to have some obligatory Picasso assignment, and everyones grandmother is infatuated with him. I just feel that infatuation sells the whole visual art/painting wolrd a bit short. But thats me.
I’ll leave it there.
