Being A Jerk Doesnt Pay Off

Approach the hall of great and powerful knowledge, ascend the staircase of wisdom, and gaze into the crystal ball of prophecy to heed this profound eternal truth.

If you are too much of a negative and a power-drain on the lives of people around you, seeking to tear them down and humiliate them or parasite off them in some way, if you haven’t been a positive force, or if you have simply been absent when they could’ve done with your help or support, especially if they asked for it, they may simply and politely check-out of your world and decide you aren’t worth the trouble.

This is not advice you’ll really find in a book, because it should be so obvious that it doesn’t need to be written down.

And yet Victoria is plagued by the disease of the douchebag. I have seen it everywhere and it has been around me my whole life. So now I am writing it down, so that it may accidentally be stumbled upon by the fortunate few.

I think that’s why we are now all collectively paying the price. Basic human decency became uncool. Sheer douchebaggery was championed and lionized. It’s time for that to end. Bad behaviour needs to be called out and punished.

If you do need help though, hopefully this article may be of help:

You don’t owe anyone a carte-blanche existence in your life. Hopefully this advice is of assistance to a few of you out there.
